It is a stormy night on the Cornish coast and the rivalry between identical twins Ashley and Max Hennessy reaches its final act.

Confined in a wheelchair after a mountaineering accident that may or may not have been his brother’s fault, Ashley can only rely on his ditzy aunt, a CID Inspector nearing retirement and his overly officious nurse if he is to survive his brother’s murderous birthday plans.
