A fundraising concert in aid of the Palace Theatre in Paignton is taking place at 3pm on Sunday 27 September.

Talented local musician, piano teacher and music festival organiser, Chris Blurton, who first performed on the Paignton stage as a child thirty years ago, has organised a socially distanced afternoon concert to support the theatre’s ongoing fundraising activities during the COVID-19 crisis.

The event will include live performances by a host of Chris’s most gifted music students and piano teaching friends.

Maureen McAllister, Operations Director of Jazz Hands CIC which manages the Palace Theatre said:

‘We are so grateful to Chris and his network of talented musicians for generously giving their time to support the theatre, for bringing live music back to our beautiful building and for enabling the show to go on!’

Chris said: “The Palace is a very special place, there is no other feeling like getting up on stage and playing to an audience. I can’t wait for my pupils and I to be back on the stage and to bring live music back to the iconic theatre!”

Due to social distancing rules, there are a limited number of tickets available for this event. To book a ticket call the box office on 01803 665800 or book on our What’s On section.
