Theatre Angels is a new initiative to provide valuable cultural experiences to residents living in the Torbay area, who have been disenfranchised by COVID19 lockdown, are socially isolated, classed as vulnerable and/or experiencing financial hardship. As a multi award-winning theatre at the heart of the local community, we feel that theatre is an inclusive experience to be enjoyed by everyone and thanks to support from National Lottery Players and Arts Council England’s Emergency Response Fund we have been able to launch this fantastic scheme.

The Theatre Angels scheme provides free and heavily discounted tickets for a range of live performances, entertaining shows and events in our recently refurbished Stage Left function space and the Auditorium. We hope that the local business community and our fabulous audiences will help us to develop this funding programme, which will see up to 60 families and individuals per year being able to attend a theatre production or activity at no cost to them and without a sense of stigma. We will also ask our performers and artists, where possible, to donate tickets for each performance.

There are several ways that you can ‘Pay It Forward’ and support this great initiative:

• Use the donation button when you book tickets online for a show.
• Call the box office and add a donation to your booking when you purchase tickets.
• Call the theatre and donate today or donate via our website.
• After a show, our front of house staff and volunteers stand in the theatre foyer with collection buckets to accept cash donations.
