We cannot deny the fact that we are a small team at the Palace, in numbers and some of us in stature, but we work hard and deliver our very best for our customers.

As a team we award ‘employee of the month’ where the winner is rewarded with a natty trophy and a voucher, the previous month’s winner nominates the next month’s winner with a brief rationale for the choice, over and above their day to day role.  It is something we all enjoy and celebrate.

You will have read about the team awarding ‘employee of the month’ to our fabulous Stuart (August 2018) and also to our exceptional work experience student Isabelle (December 2018), now we wanted to give you an update on some of the other winners.

Our super hero Technical Manager, Clive, received the award in September (2018), unanimous support for a key member of the team who not only delivers for our performers, but also for the team.

October (2018) saw Heather with the trophy following her starring role on stage supporting auction during the recent Paul Gascoigne event.  Sarah was awarded staff member of the month for February (2019), for the brilliant marketing and PR projects she delivers for us, as well as supporting the Front of House team.  Nicky received the gong in November (2018) for her work at all hours and March (2019) for managing one of our performances with small, but very perfectly formed, team of relatively new staff.  Julie was presented with the July (2018) award for her exceptional promotion of the Theatre and the April (2019) award for getting our catering outlet up and running during the Dance Festival (what a tight ship she ran!)

[And, to recognise the hard work of the Jazz Hands Directors (Maureen and Deirdre) throughout January 2019, Nicky presented them with a shared award.  And they celebrated with a glass of fizz. Any excuse]
