SUMMARY:Doctor and the Medics (with support from Lion)
DESCRIPTION:Dr and the Medics were created almost at the dawn of the 80’s\, in 1982 by The Rev Dr. Clive Thomas Jackson. \nThe band has had a very colourful and successful career as both recording artists and performers. Undoubtedly they are best known for their massive 1986 No 1 ‘Spirit in the Sky’ which sold over 24 Million copies world wide and was number 1 in 23 countries! They are also recognized as a great live act\, in 1985 the NME referred to them as ‘THE live band of the year’ \nOften promoted as 1 hit wonders\, the band claim to be the only 1 hit wonder to have had 2 hits as their next single ‘Burn’ got to number 21! But as they don’t make documentaries or publish books about one and a half hit wonders\, the Doctor keeps quiet about ‘The other hit’ and wears his ‘One Hit Wonder’ badge with pride! \nIf you get a chance to see the band we guarantee you will return home with a smile on your face! \n\nThe evening includes support from Lion\, featuring Hybrid5 frontman\, Dean Wright\, and optional entry to our after show party\, with dancing in Stage Left to the sounds of Lion.   \n\n \n  \n

SUMMARY:Ronnie\, Reggie and Me
DESCRIPTION:Discover the definitive insight into the real life of Britain’s most notorious gangsters\, from their trusted official biographer\, Fred Dinenage. \nFor decades they were feared as the ultimate criminal gang lords of the London underworld\, but their reign of terror came crashing to an end when in 1969 both Ronnie and Reggie Kray\, who of course had strong links to the Isle of Wight\, were given life sentences by a judge at the Old Bailey. Reggie went on to serve decades in some of the toughest prisons in the country\, while Ronnie became a patient at Broadmoor with an insanity that was only kept under control by massive doses of drugs. \nTV legend Fred Dinenage was chosen by the twins to tell their official story\, and he became one of the very few people allowed into their inner circle. Fred gained an unparalleled insight into the real lives of the legendary kings of crime\, and in this show he reveals stories and situations for the first time that have never been told publicly before. \nJoin Fred in person as he discloses what it was like to venture into some of Britain’s toughest institutions and meet the most foreboding twins in criminal history\, who other journalists just couldn’t get close to. You’ll hear stories that will fascinate and intrigue\, while learning about the gritty reality of being a gangster in the criminal underworld of the swinging 60s\, from the only man they trusted to tell their tale. \nEarly bird tickets\,SOLD OUT
