DESCRIPTION:Draculin are a rock/ metal band from Torquay\, Devon and have been together since early 2023. They write their own compositions and play many of their favourite covers from their rock heroes. \nThe band consists of Will Candy (Vocals and Lead Guitar)\, Oliver Attwood (Lead Guitar) Emilee Payne (Vocals and Bass Guitar) and Bartosz Mitula (Drums). They released their first single\, Sweet Dreams at the end of 2023 and it is still available on most social media platforms\, including Spotify. \nLast year they performed at Abbfest and now have bookings for the prestigious Respect Festival\, Exeter in June and the International Music Festival in Llangollen\, in July. They will also be supporting the Big Noise Chorus at the Princess Theatre\, Torquay in September. \nHowever\, the highlight of the year will be performing their “Bats Out of Hell” concert at the Palace Theatre\, Paignton on Sunday 3 November. The show is a combination of their own songs and classic anthems from the legends of rock music. Delicious tapas* and sangria included. \nIt was to have been a pleasant short break for David Lancaster\, a trip to Barcelona with close friends looking\, perhaps\, to enjoy a walk through Las Ramblas\, have some time to explore the narrow streets of the old city\, admire the Sagrada Familia\, visit the famous Güell Park or even spend some time at the beach. However\, the trip turned into a nightmare when\, early one morning\, just a few short days ago\, the body of David Lancaster was found slumped on a bench in the Palau de la Musica. He had been murdered. \nDetective Chief Inspector Appleby of Scotland Yard was flown over to assist the Spanish police\, and he had already begun his preliminary investigations. He determined that he had four key suspects\, and he arranged to meet them all at a Restaurant in the old town. \nAs he questions his suspects it becomes clear that there are long buried secrets and tensions between those present increase. Who was responsible for David Lancaster’s death? And Why? SUMMARY:Murder Mystery Afternoon Tea - Out for a Duck! An afternoon of treats and intrigue
DESCRIPTION:Join Moonstone Theatre Company to help them solve a mystery\, whilst enjoying a fabulous afternoon tea experience\, held in Stage Left. \nThe annual cricket match between Lower Ashford and Willingham was always a great event. The rivalry between the two teams was legendary and\, if the weather was good\, the villagers came in out good numbers to watch.  This year the weather was glorious and Lower Ashford had batted well. In the limited twenty over game\, they had finished their innings at 143 for 5. After the tea interval it was Willingham’s turn to bat but in the second over their leading batsman collapsed and was taken into the cricket pavilion where\, sadly\, he was found to have died. \nThe Police were called and\, subject to confirmation from the pathologist\, early indications were that he had been poisoned. \nDetective Chief Inspector Appleby was put in charge of the case and gathered his suspects at the Red Lion in the village to pursue his enquiries.  Who had wanted the leading batsman dead? All the clues will be there to catch the killer but will be correctly deduced. Inspector Appleby calls on the other guests at the theatre to help him\, determined to solve the case before the day is over. \nTickets include a delicious afternoon tea served in Stage Left.\nSaturday 12 OCTOBER\, 2pm to 4pm

DESCRIPTION:An original classic whodunnit. \nIn February 1935 an historian was working on a new book about the Women’s Suffrage movement in the run up to the Great War. He chanced upon the details of a tragic accident that happened on August 15th\, 1913 when a protesting Suffragette fell off a platform at Paddington Station and was hit and tragically killed by the Royal Train as it was returning from a trip to the Westcountry. \nLooking into the background of the deceased he was far from happy with what he found and so decided to call together all those who were involved with the victim to see if he can unravel what he considered quite possibly to have been a murder. \nHis invited guests were not aware that each of them has been contacted and\, this evening\, are shocked to have been brought back together after all these years. \nAs the evening unfolds\, secrets are revealed\, and tensions rise. SUMMARY:Murder Mystery Afternoon Tea - An afternoon of treats and intrigue
DESCRIPTION:Due to popular demand we have added a second date! \n‘Murder at the Manor’ – Join Moonstone Theatre Company to help them solve a mystery\, whilst enjoying a fabulous afternoon tea experience\, held in Stage Left. \nIn 1925 and an old country house\, which had been empty for some time\, had been bought by Colonel James Warburton who had escaped from “the troubles” in Ireland. His home there\, Drenagh Castle\, had been destroyed by fire and he fled with his wife Adrienne to England. Shortly after arriving in England\, Adrienne died and Colonel Warburton spent some time travelling the world. On one of these journeys he met and married Charlotte Baker\, an American from New Orleans. In 1928 James returns to the house once more with plans to end his travels and make the house a permanent home for himself and his new bride. What should have been a convivial afternoon soon deteriorates into something of a nightmare as tensions mount and hidden secrets are exposed. \nThere is a sudden death and one member of the group takes charge of proceedings\, seeking to get to the bottom of the afternoon’s events. All the clues are there to lead to the right conclusion\, but will they be correctly deduced? The investigator\, with the help of the other guests at the dinner party must get to the truth before the afternoon is out! \nTickets include a delicious afternoon tea served in Stage Left. \nSaturday 14 September\, 2pm to 4pm
