SUMMARY:SOLD OUT Murder Mystery Afternoon tea: The Body on the Beach! An afternoon of treats and intrigue
DESCRIPTION:Join Moonstone Theatre Company to help them solve a mystery\, whilst enjoying a fabulous afternoon tea experience\, held in Stage Left. \nSpring was definitely in the air but in the pretty Devon seaside resort of Lydmouth tragedy has struck. A body has been found in the sea and what at first was thought to be a dreadful accident soon took a different and more sinister turn when the postmortem revealed that there were one or two small discrepancies which required further investigation. \nA regular swimmer\, Donald Worthing could be seen early each day taking his usual dip in the sea. All through the year\, whatever the weather\, Mr Worthing made his way to the beach for an invigorating swim. \nHowever\, on that fateful day\, Annette Worthing\, his wife became alarmed when he didn’t return home\, and she contacted the police. After a search by the RNLI and the Coastguard\, Mr Worthing’s body was found in the sea\, apparently drowned. \nAn investigation ensued where key family and friends of the deceased were brought together. The Investigator\, with the help of guests present was determined to get to the truth before the afternoon was over. \nTickets include a delicious afternoon tea served in Stage Left.\nSaturday 13 and 20 September\, 2pm to 4pm \nVegan and Vegetarian options available. DESCRIPTION:Join Moonstone Theatre Company to help them solve a mystery\, whilst enjoying a fabulous afternoon tea experience\, held in Stage Left. \nSpring was definitely in the air but in the pretty Devon seaside resort of Lydmouth tragedy has struck. A body has been found in the sea and what at first was thought to be a dreadful accident soon took a different and more sinister turn when the postmortem revealed that there were one or two small discrepancies which required further investigation. \nA regular swimmer\, Donald Worthing could be seen early each day taking his usual dip in the sea. All through the year\, whatever the weather\, Mr Worthing made his way to the beach for an invigorating swim. \nHowever\, on that fateful day\, Annette Worthing\, his wife became alarmed when he didn’t return home\, and she contacted the police. After a search by the RNLI and the Coastguard\, Mr Worthing’s body was found in the sea\, apparently drowned. \nAn investigation ensued where key family and friends of the deceased were brought together. The Investigator\, with the help of guests present was determined to get to the truth before the afternoon was over. \nTickets include a delicious afternoon tea served in Stage Left.\nSaturday 13 and 20 September\, 2pm to 4pm \nVegan and Vegetarian options available. SUMMARY:One Accord Singers Summer Concert 2025
DESCRIPTION:One Accord singers are pleased to present their 2025 summer concert in Stage Left\, Palace Avenue Theatre\, Paignton on the evening of Saturday 19 July.  Never more than 16 in number\, this harmonious group\, in which every voice counts\, has been performing locally for 15 years\, presenting their own shows as well as appearing in events as varied as Poppy Appeal concerts\, singing with The Military Wives Choir\, guesting in many charity shows with other choirs and even some Christmas busking. \nThis year One Accord is excited to be bringing a new concert programme to the Palace Theatre. Rehearsals promise a very special event with a fantastic range of songs. Many of the arrangements are the original work of music teacher and director Belinda Byers. As always\, this concert will feature fabulous ensemble harmony work interspersed with solos and duets\, providing an eclectic mix that is sure to have something for everyone; from ABBA to Queen with lots in between. Musical styles in the programme swing from jazz to pop\, from madrigals to musicals. \nBelinda Byers will be conducting and Kris Emmett accompanying on piano. \nPrices are  £12 (£10 concessions\, family ticket £40) held from last year to encourage people to come along to an excellent concert by local performers who will stun any audience looking for a good evening out. \n \nOne Accord in Concert\, Stage Left Saturday 19 July 2025 at 7pm

DESCRIPTION:Natasha has been a police officer for 25 years\, and in 2004\, just age 29 with two children\, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma\, a blood Cancer. After a year of treatment including Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy\, Natasha was in remission\, and soon after that divorced and returned to work a single mum. \nIn 2015\, Natasha was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of the Cancer and some of the jobs she had dealt with as a police officer. After going through 2 years of treatment\, including EMDR\, she now works as a wellbeing office for her colleagues. \nDo you struggle with stress\, feelings of overwhelm and guilt or maybe just want to be happier day to day\, please join Natasha to find out more about her experiences and some of the simple techniques you can take away to help you not only manage\, but thrive in the crazy world we all live in. \nMonthly talks with interesting folk on fabulous subjects.
