He will trace the lives of many of the Gilberts from 1329 right up to the 21st century and highlight how they served county and country in many brave and surprising ways and how they made Compton Castle what it is today. The talk includes the life of Sir Humphrey Gilbert, arguably the greatest of all the Gilberts.
