An Audience at the Palace – Mutiny in the Duchy

June 16 @ 10:30 to 11:30

Kate Werran

For five fateful minutes in 1943 the Cornish town of Launceston witnessed a dramatic ‘wild-west’ shoot out between American G.I’s. The subsequent court martial in Paignton made daily headlines in both Britain and America – to the rising alarm of Whitehall and Washington top brass. Join author Kate Werran and her dad David Werran to find out why it happened and its implications today.

Monthly talks with interesting folk on fabulous subjects!  A time to socialise, discuss and learn loads of fascinating new stuff. Price includes a cup of tea/coffee.

Thursday 16 June 10:30am | Tickets £6 F
