Comedy in the spotlight

Some of the best-known names in the comedy world are coming to the Palace Theatre.

One year on

On 1 May 2019 Jazz Hands celebrated its first year managing and operating the Palace Theatre, and what a fabulous year it has been.

Not quite Jazz

There is so much amazing music out there and we are determined to showcase some of the very best here at the Palace. We are delighted to now have a new musical thread on offer thanks to David Walden (pictured) of Fougou Music.

Celebrating our fabulous team

We cannot deny the fact that we are a small team at the Palace, in numbers and some of us in stature, but we work hard and deliver our very best for our customers.

New summer programme out now

Over 40 different shows and more than 100 nights of entertainment are listed in our new summer programme! Please do call in and pick up your copy.

Especially for us

Jason Donovan – just one of ten good reasons to come to the Palace Theatre!

Queen of Theatre

In 2018, Jazz Hands CIC was crowned Queen of Theatre by Aqua Design Group via their social media campaign ‘The Royal Connection’.

Shorely one of the best theatres in the bay!

Torbay’s online arts magazine, The Shorely invites you to ‘Take your seats’ as we pull back the curtain and share an insider’s guide on the much-loved Palace Theatre.

Employee of the month doesn’t even work here!

This one is a little bit of a cheat as, technically Issy isn’t a staff member but that didn’t stop her from being brilliant and winning the December staff member of the month.

Pleased to be supporting Fragile X Society

Elsewhere in the theatre blog you will see Stuart Crosscombe winning our employee of the month award and for Stuart, this is no mean feat. Stuart has Fragile X syndrome.

Double awards night!

In May 2018 we took on a new venture as Directors of Jazz Hands, a Community Interest Company which is now operating the Palace theatre. We were delighted to win not one but two awards.

He shoots, he scores, back of the net

We were delighted to welcome Gazza to the Palace – he certainly created an atmosphere in the theatre, and a new audience, keen to hear his stories and memories.
