The end-of-night bucket collections at the Palace Theatre have had a four-figure boost thanks to the support of Bijou Theatre Productions. A total of £1,372 has been raised during Bijou’s excellent 2022 Agatha Christie Production ‘The Unexpected Guest’

The Palace Theatre is managed by a not-for-profit Community Interest Company – providing shows and creative activities for the South Devon community. Director Maureen McAllister says: ‘We are incredibly grateful for every penny that is generously given by our audiences. These donations help to fund a whole range of improvements to the Theatre; enhancing the facilities and expanding the range of community-led experiences we can offer.’

Bijou has gained a great reputation for its association with the Torquay born, ‘Queen of Crime’, Agatha Christie. Since their much-acclaimed production of Towards Zero in 1984, Bijou has performed an Agatha Christie summer season almost every year at the Palace Theatre including Black Coffee, Spider’s Web and this year The Unexpected Guest.
