An exciting new collaboration with South West based, Laughable Entertainments will bring some of the best-known names in the comedy world to the Palace Theatre.

The first show to kickstart the season will be on Friday 21 June when top comedian, BBC Radio 4 broadcaster, renowned journalist and chef, Hardeep Singh Kohli will take to the Paignton stage with his work-in-progress show, ahead of his much-anticipated performance at the Edinburgh fringe festival.  Hardeep has appeared on BBC Celebrity MasterChef, Celebrity Big Brother and The One Show amongst many other popular TV programmes.

Next on the bill is a celebrated comedian with a connection to the local area, Andy Parsons has enjoyed an illustrious career as a writer, performer and guest contributor, and regularly appears on Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and QI to name just a few.  He was one of the main comedy writers for the satirical puppet show, Spitting Image in the early days of his career, and since then has had countless sell-out tours and packed out theatres in the UK and overseas. His latest Healing the Nation tour includes an evening at the Palace Theatre on Sunday 17 November and is described by The Guardian as ‘Cracking adlibbing… a joke-rich rallying call for a better Britain’.

Local audiences can look forward to a rib-tickling night of first-class entertainment, delivered right on their doorstep.

Griff Rhys Jones, the much-loved comedian, actor, half of the Smith & Jones double act and a member of the now iconic, Not the Nine O’clock News team will bring his one-man show, All Over the Place on Saturday 30 November. Hilarious true stories and funny anecdotes from his career and life are almost guaranteed to have the audience laughing in the aisles. This roof-raising extravaganza is run in association with Broken Robot Productions & So Comedy by arrangement with Troika presents.
