Established in 1890 our lovely friendly theatre is continuing to bring creativity and entertainment in to the heart of Paignton, Torbay. Since it first opened, the Palace Theatre has welcomed over a staggering 2 million people through the doors and it currently hosts over 100 performances every year. This “grand old lady” has seen some major changes over the years.
Maureen McAllister, Operations Director, Palace Theatre Paignton: ‘There is nothing like a full house in this theatre. There is no experience like it. That feeling when the house lights go out and the curtain opens and the performance starts, you should be able to bottle it… if you could bottle it, that would change everybody’s lives.’
